Quantum Queen Verification Review — Measuring What Lies Behind +255,033%

For Quantum Queen (MT5 version), a highly rated gold (XAUUSD) EA on the MQL5 Market, we ran our own backtests to examine under what conditions its advertised performance is achieved. Every figure in this article is our own measurement; no images from the sales page or official performance records are reproduced. To give the conclusion up front: we succeeded in reproducing the advertised backtest down to the cent. Building on that, we report — sticking strictly to facts — "what is inside the numbers," which becomes visible precisely because we could reproduce them.

This article reports test results as of August 2026. The subject is Quantum Queen MT5 v3.70. We have no affiliation with the seller of this product and neither recommend nor discourage its purchase.

The history served by the MetaQuotes demo is deterministic, so with the same settings anyone who runs it gets the same result. To guarantee reproducibility, we have preserved the original report HTML and settings files.

Result 1: The Advertised Performance Was Reproduced to the Cent

MetricMeasured value
Total profit+25,503,368.46 (+255,033%)
Profit factor5.50
Trades3,786
Win rate79.61%
Balance-based DD13.72%
Margin (equity)-based DD79.00%
Z-Score−8.55 (99.74%)

In other words, the figures "+255,033% with DD in the 13% range" are not fabricated. They actually come out on the MetaQuotes demo history with settings close to the defaults. The question is what those figures mean.

Result 2: A 79.00% Equity DD Behind the 13.72% Balance DD

Grid-type EAs keep stacking positions while carrying floating losses and then close them all together, so the closed-trade balance DD comes out small while the floating-loss equity DD comes out large. In this test, against a balance DD of 13.72%, the equity DD was 79.00%. The account passed through phases where up to 79% of its equity was eroded along the way before ultimately reaching +255,033%. The strongly negative Z-Score (−8.55) is also consistent with a P&L series that accumulates losing streaks and recovers them in one go. We explain the difference between balance DD and equity DD in detail in Equity DD vs. Balance DD.

Result 3: Extending the Period Back to 2004 Doesn't Change the Result by a Single Cent

When we extended the period to 2004–2026 and reran it, total profit, number of trades, PF and DD all matched the 2016–2026 run exactly. That means not a single trade occurred before 2016, and the +255,033% was built in effectively about 10 years (about 95% per year annualized).

Result 4: Moving the Lot Coefficient One Step Causes a Collapse

These are the results of a sensitivity test changing only the auto-lot coefficient (InpAutoLotsValue) (same period, same history).

AutoLotsTotal profitPFBalance DDEquity DD
2+3,573,5885.0812.61%59.41%
3 (equivalent to default)+25,502,5115.5013.72%79.00%
4+3,093,9261.0990.40%92.20%
5+8,184,6101.0396.57%96.96%

The default AL=3 is the only peak; raising it by just one step collapses PF from 5.50 to 1.09 and pushes equity DD above 90%. In terms of parameter robustness, this means the advertised performance sits on an extremely sharp peak.

Result 5: On a Real Broker Feed, Growth Shrinks by One to Two Orders of Magnitude

Calibrating the same logic on Exness real-account history, the growth multiple was only ×10 to ×38 (versus ×2,551 on the MetaQuotes demo). The phenomenon of an EA's results changing greatly with a broker's tick quality and actual spreads follows the general rule covered in Real Ticks vs. OHLC and Why Results Change When the Broker Changes.

Summary (Facts Only)

  • Performance on the level of the advertised figures can be reproduced on the MetaQuotes demo history (matching to the cent).
  • However, it breaks down into conditional figures: 79.00% equity DD, effectively 10 years, a single-point specialization at AL=3, and shrinkage to ×10–38 on a real feed.
  • We leave the purchase decision to the reader. Our recommendation is to always check equity DD, not just balance DD, and to reproduce the test yourself under the same conditions as the sales page.

Our own EAs publish all figures to the same standard (real ticks, equity DD disclosure, long-term testing). See our Testing Methodology for details of the test method and the EA Ranking for comparisons.
