Running MT5 EAs on Exness: Account Choice and Setup

The Complete Guide to Running MT5 EAs on Exness
Exness offers unlimited leverage and a 0% stop-out level (on some account types), which makes it one of the brokers that pairs especially well with EAs. However, if the setup is wrong, the EA may not work at all. This guide walks through every step, from opening an account to actually running an EA.
Which Exness Account Type to Choose
Exness offers several account types. The following two are best suited to EA trading.
| Account type | Spread | Commission | Leverage | EA suitability |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro account | Floating (low) | None | Unlimited | ★★★★☆ |
| Raw Spread account | 0–0.3 pips | $3.5/lot | Unlimited | ★★★★★ |
| Standard account | Floating (somewhat wider) | None | Unlimited | ★★★☆☆ |
For scalping EAs and averaging-down (martingale-style) EAs, we recommend the Raw Spread account. A round trip of 1 lot costs $7 in commission, but because the spread is effectively zero, the total trading cost is among the lowest available.
When using a gold EA (XAUUSD-based), note that the XAUUSD symbol name on Exness may be XAUUSDm (it varies by account type). Always open a chart and check the symbol name.
WebRequest Allowed URL Setup (Required)
fxea365.com EAs need to send HTTP requests to fxea365.com for license verification. If this is not set up, the EA will not start.
Setup steps:
- Open MT5
- In the top menu, go to "Tools" → "Options"
- Select the "Expert Advisors" tab
- Check the "Allow WebRequest for listed URL" checkbox
- Add the following URL:
https://fxea365.com - Click "OK" to save
About Exness Symbol Names
Due to broker-side settings, Exness symbol names differ from the usual ones.
| Standard name | Name on Exness (example) |
|---|---|
| XAUUSD | XAUUSDm |
| BTCUSD | BTCUSDm |
| EURUSD | EURUSDm |
fxea365.com EAs are designed around _Symbol (they use the chart's symbol as-is), so they adapt automatically as long as you attach the EA to a chart of the correct symbol.
Why ERR_NO_MONEY Is Less Likely on Exness
At typical brokers (such as XM), a stop-out (forced liquidation) is triggered when the margin level falls below a certain threshold. However, the stop-out level on Exness Pro/Raw Spread accounts is 0%.
Because of this:
- Averaging-down orders are more likely to go through even as the margin level drops
ERR_NO_MONEY(insufficient margin) errors are less likely to occur- Combined with unlimited leverage, capital efficiency improves significantly
However, "orders go through even at a 0% margin level" is not the same as "there is no risk." Because the stop-out comes later, there is also a risk that losses grow larger.
Comparison with XM
| Item | Exness | XM |
|---|---|---|
| Stop-out | 0% (Pro/Raw) | 20% |
| Weekend leverage restriction | None | Yes (limited to 200:1) |
| Minimum XAUUSD spread | 0 pips (Raw) | About 0.3 pips |
| Account opening bonus | None | Yes (deposit bonus) |
| Compatibility with averaging-down EAs | ★★★★★ | ★★★☆☆ |
Exness has a particular advantage for EAs that hold positions over the weekend. On XM, leverage is reduced on Friday evening, so required margin rises sharply and ERR_NO_MONEY becomes more likely.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. From which countries can Exness be used? For residents of Japan, use of Exness is at your own risk under its terms of service. Always check the latest terms.
Q. Can the same EA be used with both XAUUSDm and XAUUSD?
fxea365.com EAs use _Symbol, so they work with either symbol name. However, Exness's XAUUSDm and XM's GOLD may differ in tick value and contract size. We recommend verifying operation with a small lot size the first time.
Q. Is it safe to use an averaging-down EA on Exness? Because the stop-out level is 0%, forced liquidation is delayed even when the averaging-down grid gets deep. This can sometimes reduce risk, but it also carries the risk that losses grow larger than expected. Run averaging-down EAs only with "money you can afford to lose."
