Daytrade Pro Algo MT5 Review — PF 2.51 / Max DD 1.25% Under the Same Conditions as Our EAs (2020–2024, Real Ticks)
This article reports our backtest of Daytrade Pro Algo MT5, an EA sold on the MQL5 Market (MQL5 product page; listed price $599 as of Oct 5, 2026), run under the same conditions we use for our own EAs. All figures are our own measurements. No vendor images or vendor performance claims are reproduced.
We have no affiliation with the vendor of this product and neither recommend nor discourage its purchase. We avoid judgments and publish only the measured numbers and the conditions.
Test Conditions (Full Disclosure)
Period, initial deposit, leverage and tick data are identical to our own EA tests. Only the symbol and timeframe differ.

Results
| Metric | Result |
|---|---|
| Net profit (return) | +$375.30 (+3.8%) |
| PF (profit factor) | 2.51 |
| Max DD (equity) | 1.25% ($130.34) |
| Trades | 256 |
With PF 2.51 and max DD 1.25%, net profit on default settings was +$375.30 (+3.8%) over about 4.2 years. The average result per trade was about $1.47, so the default position size is small. We did not test other lot settings. All four years were positive; PF in 2023 was 1.14.
Year-by-Year Results (with Max DD)
Each year was run separately starting from $10,000 (2020–2023, all other conditions the same). Because capital does not compound across years, the yearly totals do not match the full-period figures.
| Year | Net profit | PF | Max DD | Trades |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2020 | +$58.73 | 2.04 | 1.00% | 72 |
| 2021 | +$86.44 | 2.56 | 0.66% | 54 |
| 2022 | +$203.16 | 6.37 | 0.51% | 63 |
| 2023 | +$13.84 | 1.14 | 1.29% | 57 |
Comparison with Our EAs (Same Conditions)
On Oct 11, 2026 we re-ran our own EAs (the files we distribute, default settings) with the same period, deposit, leverage and real ticks. The Daytrade Pro Algo MT5 figures come from the same measurement as the comparison table in our EA Lab (the own-EA rows in the EA Lab still include values from before this re-run).
| EA | Symbol / TF | Net profit | PF | Max DD | Trades |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Daytrade Pro Algo MT5 (this review) | EURUSD M15 | +$375.30 (+3.8%) | 2.51 | 1.25% | 256 |
| DONCHIAN ENGINE (free) | USDJPY H1 | +$10,425.85 (+104.3%) | 1.82 | 10.33% | 281 |
Because the symbols and timeframes differ, this does not show which EA is better in the same market. Net profit depends heavily on how lot size is set (fixed or compounding), so please focus on PF and max DD. Max DD uses the same definition for all rows (largest equity decline).
Under the same conditions, PF was 2.51 for Daytrade Pro Algo MT5 and 1.82 for DONCHIAN ENGINE; max DD was 1.25% and 10.33%; net profit was +$375.30 and +$10,425.85.
Limitations of This Test (Please Read)
- Daytrade Pro Algo MT5 was tested on M15. This may differ from the vendor's recommended timeframe and settings. We plan to re-test it on the recommended timeframe with a different tick source and will add the results here.
- The ticks are Dukascopy data. Spreads and execution differ between brokers, and so do results.
- The build date of Daytrade Pro Algo MT5 (May 19, 2026) is later than the test period. Our EAs were also built after the test period. For both, results in this period do not indicate future performance.
- We tested the version available at the time. Later updates have not been tested.
- Backtests do not guarantee future profits.
