Bankai EA Test Review — 22 Exhaustive Backtests over 11 Years of Real Ticks
We ran a long-term, exhaustive test of Bankai, an EA for gold (XAUUSD). Because the original binary (.ex5) had constraints on running over long test windows, the figures in this article are measured values from a verification replica (BANKAI_REPLICA) that this site built from behavioral analysis. We state upfront that these are not values claimed for the original product itself. No official images or official performance records are reproduced here.
This article presents test results from August 2026. This site has no affiliation with the seller of this product and neither recommends nor discourages its purchase.
Test Conditions (Full Disclosure)
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Test subject | Verification replica (BANKAI_REPLICA, built by this site) |
| Symbol / timeframe | XAUUSD (custom symbol from Dukascopy history) / M1 |
| Feed / model | 100% Dukascopy real ticks (100% history quality) |
| Period | 11 years from 2016 to 2026, split by year |
| Number of runs | 11 years × 2 conditions (reverse-position hedge ON/OFF) = 22 runs |
| Environment | Exness-MT5Trial5 / MT5 build 6090 / leverage 1:500 |
| Preservation | All Strategy Tester report HTML files and settings files preserved in original form |
Result 1: All 22 Runs Wiped Out the Account — Zero Profitable Years
The 22 backtests (11 individual years × 2 conditions, reverse-position hedge ON/OFF) all ended with a total loss of account funds. Out of the 11 years, the number of years that finished in profit was zero under either condition. This was not a matter of good or bad market years; the outcome was the same across every regime.
Result 2: Ten Times the Capital Does Not Change the Loss Amount
When we ran the same year (2016) with initial capital of 100,000 and 1,000,000, net profit/loss and the number of trades were exactly identical. Because the EA uses a fixed-lot design in which lot size does not scale with capital, losses of the same amount occur regardless of account size. In other words, this is not a strategy that "survives if you fund it more heavily"; adding capital only extends the time until the account is wiped out.
Result 3: A Direct Test of Whether the Signals Carry Information
To isolate the edge of the entry signals themselves, we ran a simplified test (BANKAI_SIGNAL_TEST) that attaches a symmetric SL/TP of ATR × 1.0 at each signal point.
| Direction | Win rate |
|---|---|
| With the signal | 43.8–46.3% (negative in every year) |
| Signal reversed | Likewise lost in every year |
Both the signal direction and the reversed direction fell below the theoretical break-even line (50%) for a symmetric SL/TP, and reversing the signal does not win either — showing that the signals contain no directional information. For the general background on reading win rates, see The High Win Rate EA Trap.
Limitations of This Test (Stated for Fairness)
- This test is based on a replica, and an exact match with the original binary is not guaranteed. However, the replica copies the original's order behavior (hedged positions and offset-closing structure) based on observation, and within the scope of this site's measurements we could not confirm any possibility that the 22/22 outcome would be reversed by implementation differences.
- Dukascopy real ticks are a strict feed that is close to real market conditions. Synthetic ticks (Model=1, etc.) may produce different results, but that is exactly the feed-dependency issue covered in Real Ticks vs OHLC.
Summary (Facts Only)
- In 22 tests over 11 years of real ticks, every run was wiped out with zero profitable years (measured with the verification replica).
- Because of the fixed-lot design, losses do not depend on account size.
- No directional information could be detected in the signals alone (both the signal direction and its reversal lost).
- When considering hedging / offset-type EAs, we recommend checking the equity curve including floating losses rather than closed-trade results, and long-term testing on real ticks.
All of this site's own EAs are tested to the same standard (real ticks, long periods, equity DD disclosed), and all figures are published. See the Testing Methodology for our approach and the EA Ranking for the full lineup.
