Attach to: XAUUSD M1 — The strategy reads the M1 timeframe. On any other chart it will place no trades at all. When testing in the MT5 Strategy Tester, set the symbol and timeframe to XAUUSD M1 as well.
⚡ Minimum deposit
From ~$670 (standard account). For smaller, safer sizing use a micro/cent account. The built-in risk ladder (risk 1–3%) scales both return and drawdown.
HOW IT WORKS — PIVOT BREAKOUT TREND
How it works
Hypothesis: when gold is trending, the first break of a clear recent pivot (a swing high/low turning point) is the lowest-risk entry to ride that trend.
- Entry: first break of a confirmed H1 ZigZag pivot + MA50 trend alignment on M5 & M15 + M5 stochastic momentum
- Exit: regime-adaptive trailing stop (lets winners run in trends via peak×0.6; tight in chop) + early loss-cut in choppy regimes
- Safety: hard SL (30pt) / TP (40pt, 60pt in high-ATR) · always 1 position · no martingale · every trade has a hard SL

Switch via the included .set files (risk 1% = default = measured; 2%/3% scale roughly with risk). PF is risk-independent (~1.3). Adding more entries reduces total profit, so the shipped settings are already optimal.

- All figures are 2022–2025 in-sample. The edge depends on the post-2022 gold regime (inflation / trend market).
- Out-of-sample (2018–2021) loses (PF 0.7–0.9). No all-regime-profitable configuration exists in this strategy family.
- In ranging or weak-trend years it can post small losses (but hard SL + low DD prevent large blow-ups).
- This is not a thousands-percent product. Use it as an honest low-drawdown gold trend EA with 4 consecutive profitable years.
