How the strategy works (entry, stop, target)

On XAUUSD H1, it captures the New York session breakout of the range built up during the Asian session, combining a tight stop with two-stage profit taking.

Entry

Breakout of the Asian-session range (until 01:00 UTC) during NY hours 15–20 UTC, excluding the loss-heavy 16–19h. Requires ATR ≥ 0.7× of its 20-bar average and trend alignment ≥ 1.5.

Stop loss

Tight ATR×0.5 stop — exits immediately on a false breakout.

Take profit

Two stages: TP1 = ATR×0.5 takes 50% off and moves the stop to break-even; TP2 = ATR×10 lets the rest run.

Exit

Phase-1 time-stop after 48 bars if it stalls.

Risk

Balance × 6% (linear risk thanks to the hard stop). Adjustable via Run-Mode.

Timeframe

H1 is ideal for catching the NY-session breakout impulse on gold.
